Our Goal for November

While NFTE’s mission is to ignite the entrepreneurial mindset that already exists in youth, many alumni have said that empowerment changed their lives and inspired them to explore their passions! Read their stories and help us change the lives of 400 more students this November. Every donation of any size goes toward another future fueled by NFTE.

What is Fuel a Future?


Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) has empowered 1.3 million young entrepreneurs since 1987. It’s work that requires a passionate community of diverse entrepreneurs, professionals, educators, and other driven leaders just like you! In October 2023, we activated that community to help fuel a future full of diverse leaders and innovators. It was the first of what has become an annual Fuel a Future campaign that celebrates the profound power of youth entrepreneurship. This year, join thousands of NFTE alumni, supporters, partners, and staff to take action on Youth Entrepreneurship Day! 

Why November? 

November is the perfect month to join, donate, share, connect, or to simply pledge your support!
 
  • Mark your calendar for Youth Entrepreneurship Day on November 15, 2024. Like last year, NFTE is calling for a national and global observance to highlight the need for equitable access to entrepreneurship education worldwide. We’re asking you to also pledge your support.
     
  • During Global Entrepreneurship Week (November 18-24), entrepreneurs worldwide share ideas and access resources to “remove barriers and welcome all” to entrepreneurship. To add your voice to the conversation, combine #NFTE with #GEW2024, #FuelaFuture and #EntrepreneurshipisforEveryone.
     
  • Feel extra good about the giving season with a gift to NFTE because 25% of all new donations will be matched by a generous donor.
     
  • Use your purchasing power to do business with an entrepreneur, including NFTE alumni, on Small Business Saturday (November 30).

Throughout November, reach out to your network via text, phone call, email, or direct message. Encourage them to donate, join a region's fundraising campaign, or pledge their support for youth entrepreneurship education. 

Share Stories that Inspire

This year’s campaign theme is Fuel a Future Like Mine! Share a young entrepreneur’s story or discuss your own entrepreneurial journey to inspire support for entrepreneurship education. Follow @NFTE on social media and add #NFTE and #FuelaFuture to your videos and posts.

Take the Pledge & Get Involved

Our goal is 2,024 pledges! Pledge your support for equitable access to entrepreneurship education for all students and stay involved well after November. Volunteer with a NFTE program or classroom in your community. Attend regional events. Read NFTE Nexus policy briefs, or subscribe to our newsletter.

Use Your Purchasing Power

Throughout November, find every opportunity to do business with an entrepreneur, including NFTE alumni. Small Business Saturday on November 30 is a great day to buy products created by young innovators or to use their services. Don’t forget your NFTE swag.

1.3 million students inspired by NFTE; Low-income schools with 71% of students on free/reduced-price meals; 60% identify as Black, indigenous, mixed, and people of color (BIMPOC) and 40% as female.

96% graduation rate; 10% more income than their peers; 3 out of 4 satisfied with career; 25% say they start/run businesses; 50% of alumni report they earn more than the median U.S. salary.
